Synopsis

This intermediate level half day course will provide staff with the knowledge and practical skills needed for the safe handling of inanimate loads in a variety of settings.

  • Be aware of the responsibilities of employers and employees under manual handling law and relevant local policies
  • Be able to undertake a basic inanimate handling risk assessment using relevant forms
  • Be able to recognize and avoid the use of unsafe handling techniques
