Synopsis
This intermediate level half day course will provide staff with the knowledge and practical skills needed for the safe handling of inanimate loads in a variety of settings.
Number of Delegates: up to 12
Learning Objectives
- Be aware of the responsibilities of employers and employees under manual handling law and relevant local policies
- Be able to undertake a basic inanimate handling risk assessment using relevant forms
- Be able to recognize and avoid the use of unsafe handling techniques
- Acquire skills in the safe handling of inanimate load individually/in a team with or without equipment
