People Handling – Standard Course

How many people can attend – Maximum of 12 delegates.

Overview - A course with an emphasis on practical techniques. This we do by issuing detailed course notes prior to the course, allowing the trainer to cover the theory as an overview.

Theory overview includes:-

• Legislation
• Back Care in and out of work
• Risk Assessment
• Falls and Condemned Techniques
• Safer Handling Principles

 

Practical session includes:-

• Chair Manoeuvres
• Bed Manoeuvres
• Small Equipment demonstration
• Hoisting
• Use of other equipment

 

All courses offer a problem solving forum to enable staff to focus on “real issues”.

A certificate of attendance will be issued on successful completion of the course.
