Moving & Handling Risk Assessment
This series of introductory and refresher courses are aimed at persons responsible for assessing and managing manual handling and ergonomics risks from moving people and moving inanimate loads in a variety of settings including hospitals, day centres, care homes, offices, estate departments, workshops etc. There are also discipline specific courses for local authorities.
There is a choice of 5 courses
This entry level half day workshop aims to equip managers, supervisors and staff who have responsibility for manual handling risk assessment of people/inanimate loads with the practical skills needed to identify, quantify and effectively manage handling risk.
This entry level one and a half day course will provide the advanced knowledge and practical skills which managers need to undertake effective moving & handling risk assessments and to supervise staff who are involved in the handling of people and loads.
This intermediate level 1 day course is to equip managers with skills to carry out organisational manual handling risk assessments. The first part of this blended learning course is a half day classroom session. The second part, which is e-learning, is a half day module. The e-learning module will run 4-6 weeks after the initial half day classroom session.
This intermediate level half day course will provide staff appointed as key manual handling facilitators with the knowledge and skills required to fulfil the duties of the role.
This advanced level half day workshop aims to equip managers, supervisors and staff who have responsibility for manual handling risk assessment of inanimate loads with the practical skills needed to identify, quantify and effectively manage handling risk.
