Therapeutic Handling Workshop

Overview - This workshop is aimed at physiotherapists, occupational therapists and rehabilitation assistants involved in using manual handling as a tool for rehabilitation. These professionals are exposed to unique risks resulting from the need to balance the client’s rehabilitation outcome with the manual handling risk to staff.

How Many People Can Attend - Maximum of 8 delegates

The workshop provides a thorough overview of the legal and theoretical issues and explores relevant guidelines from the Charter Society of Physiotherapy and the College of Occupational Therapists, along with a review of safe systems of work, equipment and handling protocols.

The session follows a unique problem solving approach which allows therapists to learn from a hands-on process of critique and peer review.

All workshops are certificated and adaptable to meet the requirements of participants in various specialities.
