Detailed Description
An intensive two day training course for those people who wish to become trainers in Object Handling.

- Recognise dangerous posture and explain dangers
- Avoid dangerous postures at work
Risk Assessment
- Management of Risk
- The need to monitor and report incidents and accidents
- Awareness of the need to avoid moving & handling in the workplace where possible
- Identify the hazards in a moving & handling task
- Undertake a moving & handling risk assessment
- Design and implement a safe system of work
- Prioritise risk and risk management measures
- Devise a safe system of work
Ergonomics & Risk Reduction
- The meaning and application of ergonomics to manual handling
- Apply simple ergonomic principles to reduce the moving & handling risks of tasks
